2016 Delta Sigma Diabetes Walk/Run
GTFC Joined the Montclair Delta Sorority in their annual 5 Mile Bike/Walk Run for Diabetes on Saturday April 23rd at the Glenfield Park in Montclair. We were able to inform the attendees on the importance of proper foot care for diabetics and hand out some great giveaways. It was a great turn out for a great cause. We look forward to attending next year!

The Toy Bureau of the Oranges
GTFC had the pleasure of helping the United Way of Essex and West Hudson by taking donations at our office for new and gently used toys to be distributed on December 17, 2015 at The Church of the Epiphany in Orange. There were several toys and clothes donated from outstanding memebers of the community. We always enjoy giving back in our local area and we look forward to next years event!

Superior Court 14th Annual Wellness Fair
GTFC had the pleasure of joining the Superior Court of New Jersey for their 14 Annual Health Fair on Thursday October 29, 2015. The event was held for the employees of the Essex Vicinage Departments. All had an opportunity to recieve health and wellness information as well as free health screenings. It was a great event to be a part of and we look forward to next year.
Human Resources Annual Employee Benefits & Wellness Fair
GTFC joined the Allied Health Program department on October 14,2015 to help educate the employees of Essex County College on several employee benefits and health services available to them. There were several vendors attending to accomodate the numerous employees and students who were eager to obtain information and education on heatlthcare and insurance benefits. What a great turn out! Looking forward to next years event expected to be even better.
Peter Corvelli Annual Hillside Health Fair
October 4,2015 GTFC had the pleasure of participating in the annual Hillside Health Fair for students and family members. All were able to take part in the free immunizations and health screenings available along with several medical vendors who gave out educational information and giveaways to all attendees. We love partici[pating in this event because its always a great turn out and very educational for all involved. Looking forward once gain to next year.
EOHA Fall Prevention Awareness Week
GTFC joined the East Orange Housing Authority to raise awareness during their Fall prevention week. We were able to speak on the importance of proper foot care for both seniors and disabled residents at the Concord Towers and Vista Village located in East Orange. Fall prevention Week is recognized by the Governor of the state of NJ from Septemebr 21-27th. It important to prevent these sort of accidents becauise falls are the leading cause of injury related emergency department visits for older adults. We are glad to Join forces with the EOHA anytime we can help in the community. Looking forward to next September.
E.O Shop-Rite "Party for Health" Health Fair
GTFC attended a great event held by the East Orange Shop Rite on September 26,2015. The highlight of the event included Zumba, raffles/tricky tray, various community vendor information tables and snacks and beverages for sale. This event was part of the Shop Rite initiative to help fight hunger in our local community. We were extremely thankful to be able to support such a great cause and we look forward to attending again next year.
East Orange Farmers Market Men's Health Fair
The East Orange Farmers Market health fair held on September 15, 2015 was a great event for all attendees to recieve free health screenings and free health information. The live DJ and and great food added to a great atmosphere on a sunny day. We were glad to be able to provide free giveaways and free information on the importance of proper foot care for all.
East Orange Housing Authority Health Fair
GTFC had the pleasure of attending The EOHA Health fair on Friday August 14th, once again this year, As usual it was a great event full of happy participants and great educational giveaways for all who attended. We enjoy participating in community events that help the growth and happiness of our local friends. We look forward to another year.
Community Extravaganza Health Fair
The Seventh Day Adventist Church of Orange organized a great community event at the Central Avenue Playground for all on Saturday August 15th.The health fair helped to encourage participation with health screenings, promote a healthy lifestyle and teach prevention measures of common illnesses seen in the community. It was a great turn out full of free items for all who attended. We are so thankfyul to have been a part of such and event and cant wait to attend again next year.
10 Year Recognition!
Dr. Theall would like to Congratulate Shamane Crews for 10 years of outstanding service at Gentle Touch Foot Care. We can't believe that much time as flown by, it feels like yesterday. We love you Shamane! The office wouldn't be the same without you!
Frequent Footer Recipient!
GTFC would like to congratulate our first Frequent Footer Card Recipient, Mr. George Banes. He received a FREE Routine Foot Care Visit for paying cash for 7 prior visits. We love giving back to our patients and our New Frequent Footer Card is just a small way of doing that. East Orange Senior Services Men's Health Forum
The East Orange Division of Senior Services hosted their 2nd Annual Men's Health Forum and Brunch for the local citizens of East Orange on June 17th. The Director of Communications and Patient Relations of Gentle Touch Foot Care had the pleasure of being one of the presenters at the event to discuss the benefits and importance of proper foot care. Mayor Lester E.Taylor and the Honorable Ted Green of the East Orange Council were among guest speakers on the program and enjoyed a great turn out of happy engaged attendees. We would like to Thank the East Orange Senior Services Director Rita Butts for the invitation and we look forward to attending the next years Men's Health Forum.
GTFC Pediatric Screening
Once again we enjoyed a great turn out for our second Pediatric screening at the GTFC office on Saturday June 27. Several familes came out to enjoy a free foot evaluation for any potential problems that could be passed on through family generations. We are always happy to help out in the community to bring awareness to both adults and children. We would like to thank all who came out and participated and we look for forward to doing it again in the near future.
Sinai Adult Day Care Presentation
Our Director of Patient Relations and Community Affairs joined the residents and staff at the Sinai Adult Day care on June 22nd for a educational presentation on the importance of proper foot care for Seniors and Diabetic patients. We were able to share lots of information on proper foot care and proper maintenance to avoid furure complications. We truly are grateful for the opportunity to help others in our community along with other surrounding communities to stay healthy from head to toe. We look forward to going back next year to see how everyone has been doing.
Orange Mayors Luncheon 2015
The mayors luncheon held on June 29th along with the Chambers of Commerce was a huge success for all East Orange business owners who actively support the town of East Orange. Its always an informative look at the future plans of the city and accomplished goals thus far. We are honored to be part of a such an event and always look for oppotunitues to continue to support and uplift our city. Thanks for the invite Chambers of Commerce of East Orange.
Benjamin Banneker Elementary Career Day
We had another successful Career Day day at the Benjamin Bannieker Elementary School in East Orange on May 28th. We love talking to the kids about future goals and the importance of proper health care. Staff member Annaleise has a daughter that attends the school and we had the pleasure of motivating the kids in her class. We look forward to joining Bannieker school next year!
Oliver Street School HealthFair
GTFC enjoyed a day with the kids and families at the Oliver Street School in Newark for their first Health and Wellness Fair yesterday May 28th. The fair provided several services for those attendees such as Dental and Vision Screenings, Asthma treatment and prevention, Mental Health Tips and of course Family Foot Care health for all. Many came out to partake in the festivities and we were glad to be a part of helping and educating the community!
East Orange YMCA Healthy Kids Walk
GTFC attended the annual Healthy Kids Health Fair on Saturday May 9th from 10-2pm. The YMCA closed off Arlington Ave so that the participants can enjoy the numerous vendors along the street and enjoy the educational information and giveaways. We understand the importance of keeping our kids healthy from head to toe. We thank the directors of the YMCA for putting such a great event together.
Regional 3 Podiatry Conference
Dr.Theall, Dr.Delorenzo and the staff attended the Region 3 State Podiatry Conference in Atlantic City, NJ and have brought some valuable information for our patients. We love making sure that we stay on top of new cutting edge procedures and the efficiency of the staff and office so we can best serve our patients. It was a great week filled with great information. Cant wait to attend again next year!
Sourjourner Truth Middle School Career Day
Soujourner Truth Middle School in East Orange hosted their annual Career Day on April 24th and invited Medical Assistant Annaleise and Director of Communications and Patient relations at Gentle Touch Foot Care to talk to the kids about future career goals as well as the importance of early proper foot care starting now to avoid problems in the future. We were amongst over 50 other professionals that enjoyed the opportunity of giving back to the kids in the community. Cant wait until next year!
East Orange Shop-Rite In-Store
GTFC had a chance to hang out with the local community and give out educational information and giveaways at the East Orange Shop Rite on April 15th. We love the opportunity to answer questions on proper foot health and to help service those right in our area. Gentle Touch Foot Care had the pleasure of attending the Seton Hall Nursing program Health Fair on April 13th. The health fair helped to promote proper health care and maintenance in the college community. It was a great way to spend the day on the campus green and give out educational information on proper foot care. We love the opportunity to educate those in need of a little TLC for their feet!

GTFC Shoe Drive
The Gentle Touch Foot Care Shoe Drive hosted with the East Orange Salvation Army was a Big Success!!! We were able to give out over 100 pairs of shoes to those in need in the community. We would like to thank the East Orange and West Orange Shoprite locations for also participating in this special event to help educate the attendees on proper nutrition and healthcare. It's a great thing when we can all work together to contributes to healthy families!!!
Sheefa Pharmacy In-Store
Gentle Touch Foot Care had a great time with the customers at the Sheefa Pharmacy in East Orange on February 20th. We were able to educate all of the patrons on the importance of foot care and shoe options for anyone in need of a little TLC for their feet. 1st Annual East Orange Cancer Walk
The girls at Gentle Touch Foot Care spent Saturday October 25, 2014 participating in the 1st Annual East Orange Cancer Walk from Elmwood Park to Orange Park. We were one of many sponsored businesses that supported the event and also gave out educational information for healthy feet for those avid walkers to make sure that they can continue walking for great causes for a long time to come!
E.O Health Department Child Wellness Day
Gentle Touch Foot Care participated in the Department of Health Child Wellness Day on Saturday October 18, 2014 at the East Orange YMCA. The community came out to enjoy the free screenings, immunization checks, flu vaccines and plenty of educational information tables for all those interested.
